Drivers in Los Angeles, California have high standards when it comes to fuel efficiency, which is one reason why the 2017 Lexus CT Hybrid is a top choice for those looking for a car that can traverse Southern California on one tank.
But the small luxury car is more than just fuel efficient. Being a Lexus, it’s also stylish and has all the latest and greatest in tech. Read on for our full review of the 2017 CT Hybrid:

ENGINE AND FUEL ECONOMY

The CT Hybrid has a 1.8-liter, 4-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors and has 134 horsepower. It gets a best-in-class 43 MPG city and 40 highway, making it a great option for long road trips and lengthy commutes alike.
A few factors contribute to the CT Hybrid’s fuel efficiency, in addition to the electric motors. It uses Exhaust Gas Recirculation that captures, cools, and repurposes exhaust gasses for an efficient combustion process. Also, its Exhaust Heat Recovery system quickly warms the engine in cold weather, while electric heat and air conditioning preserve energy.

STYLING

The CT Hybrid has F SPORT styling, for an athletic look that incorporates Lexus’s signature details. It has a bold black Obsidian roof for a unique, urban feel, the iconic spindle grille and front fascia with LED headlamps, a functional rear spoiler with aerodynamic cutouts, and optional moonroof.
Inside, it has NuLuxe seating, which has all the beauty of leather but is lightweight and a sustainably made material. The cockpit suggests the CT Hybrid was built purely around the driver, with front sport seats, a low center of gravity, and an intuitive center stack. What you might not expect from such a sporty ride is the ample legroom in the front and rear, in addition to nearly 35 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded.

FEATURES

The CT Hybrid has standard push-button start, proximity key for easy location, dual-zone climate control, a 6-speaker audio system, Bluetooth technology, and satellite radio. Drivers looking for more in tech and entertainment can opt for a 10-speaker system, Lexus Remote Touch infotainment system, navigation technology, Lexus Enform App Suite, and Siri Eyes Free. Additionally, the Navigation package gives drivers Lexus Remote Touch. Also available is the Lexus Memory System, which allows multiple drivers to personalize and recall their settings for seating and mirrors.

SAFETY

Lexus included the latest safety features in the CT Hybrid. Along with everything you’d expect – a sophisticated suite of airbags, three-point seatbelts, and anti-lock brakes – the small luxury car has both passive and active features to keep passengers safe. With standard Lexus Enform Safety Connect, drivers can access roadside assistance or call for help, whether they need help after an accident or just need a hand fixing a flat. The CT Hybrid also features standard brake assist, stop-start technology, tire pressure monitoring, and stability control.
